City of Waynesboro is Hiring an Accounting Technician Near Waynesboro, VA
Come join the team at the City of Waynesboro! Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, the City is easily accessible via interstate and provides great access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive. The City of Waynesboro is currently recruiting for an Accounting Technician.
This position performs a variety of professional accounting duties including maintaining, balancing, and posting financial data, developing financial records and reports, and completing control activities. This position is responsible for accounts payable but will also perform reconciliation of accounts; verify and test financial data; conduct variance analysis, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED and one to three years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in accounting or related field and experience working with payroll, accounts receivable, and/or accounts payable.
